ABOUT Mark a. machera

 Attorney Machera is a 1984 graduate of Boston College and 1987 graduate of Suffolk University Law School. He has been a practicing attorney since 1987, licensed in Massachusetts in 1987 and New Hampshire in 1993. 

Attorney Machera is also a member of the U.S. District Court bar for the districts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He appears regularly in the Superior and District and Circuit Courts of New Hampshire and Massachusetts, the New Hampshire Department of Labor, Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents, the Social Security Administration Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (formerly Office of Hearings and Appeals).

Attorney Machera has obtained jury verdicts on behalf of his clients in the superior courts of New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and has appeared before the New Hampshire Supreme, Massachusetts Appeals Court and the U.S. District Courts for Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

After working for small and medium sized law firms in Massachusetts focusing on personal injury litigation and criminal law, Attorney Machera opened his Methuen law practice in 1995 specializing in representing the injured. Attorney Machera is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, New Hampshire Association for Justice, National Organization of Social Security Claimants (NOSSCR), Essex County Bar Association, Justinian Law Society of Massachusetts and the New Hampshire Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys (NHACDL).

Attorney Machera is a past President of the Lawrence Bar Association (LBA), 

has served on the executive committee for many years, serving as President in 2015.  He was formerly the Vice President and Girls Hockey Director of the Reading, Massachusetts Youth Hockey Association, is a USA Hockey Certified Level 4 Coach and a USA Hockey certified official. Born and raised in Methuen, Massachusetts, he lives in Reading, Massachusetts with his wife and two children.
